Tourist Guide Courchevel

Courchevel is a ski area which is situated in the Savoie Alps of South East side of France. This area is quite close to the Swiss and the Italian borders. A part of the Les Trois Vallees, it is considered as the largest linked skiing areas in the world. This town has a sister city named as Park City which is in Utah in United States.

This is a famous and a well known ski resort area forming part of the ‘Three Valleys’ Alpine ski region along with the Val Thorens and Meribel. Together, these region forms the largest ski area in the world.

Courchevel has a collection four alpine villages each at different altitudes and thus are named after the altitude above the sea level. These include Courchevel 1300 – Le Praz, Courchevel 1350 – LA Tania and Courchevel 1550, 1650 and 1850. These resorts are sophisticated resort areas popular for its skiing.

Each year, this region organizes lots of cultural and sports events which suits everyone’s needs.
