Strasbourg capital of Alsace, along the Rhine river, is a beautiful modern
city where the European Council, the European Parliament and the European Court
of Human Rights reside.
Downtown is really nice and the cathedral with the notorious clock and antique
towers, attractive.
Among the sights is the antique Pharmacy de Cerf and its university which, though
one of the oldest, is amongst the most active in all France.
In the antique part of the town are La Petite France with its characteristic
medieval half-timbered houses along the canals.
The two museums in the Cathedral, the Musée de l'Oeuvre Notre-Dame and
the Musée Alsacien deserve a visit, too
A nice, interesting surprise here is gastronomy and the so called winstubs,
both important aspects of local culture and tradition!
