Oktoberfest is one of the famous attractions in Munich. This is held for continuous two weeks attracting millions of people who visit it for its beer tents known as “Bierzelte” and also for its fairground attractions. This fest was first held in 1810 in honor of the marriage of crown prince Ludwig to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hidburghausen. Despite its name, this festival occurs in the month of September.
