Berlin Tegel is the chief international airport in Berlin which serves over thirteen million passengers.
The airport has four terminals servicing domestic as well as international flights.
There are a number of facilities provided in the airport including restaurants, hotels, bureau of exchange, car hire and more.
The main terminal has a visitor’s information counter if you need any help or maps of the city. It is reported that this airport will close in 2012 after the building of a new one called the Berlin Brandenburg International Airport.
To get to the city of Berlin from the airport one can take a Taxi outside the terminal but this can prove to be costly.
The bus is the cheapest and most convenient means of transport and there is one available every fifteen minutes from the airport.
Other airports in Berlin include the Tempelhof and Schonefeld.
