Neue Synagoge was built from 1859 to 1866 as the main synagogue of the Berlin Jewish community. It has a splendid eastern Moorish style and resemblance to the Alhambra. This historic building has a vital architectural monument of the second half of the 19th century in Berlin. The original building was designed by Eduard Knoblauch. At present, the building is reconstructed as it was badly damaged during the World War II and razed.
