Bodenmuseum is situated at Bodestrasse 1-3. It remains open everyday from 10AM to 6PM except on Thursday where the timing are from 10AM to 10PM.

Located on the famous Museum Island, it has undergone major re-construction work and represents one of the larger milestones in the completion of the Master Plan Museum Island.

Originally built in 1897, the museum initially featured historic paintings, wooden ceilings, chimneys, door frames and historic portals, which eventually got integrated into the architecture of the building.

The museum was opened to the public in 1904. Since then it has undergone some reconstruction phases. Presently, the museum features three international ranking collections:

The museum of Byzantine art, the numismatic collection and the sculpture collection. Artwork of Gemäldegalerie is another specialty of the museum. Numerous renaissance paintings are on display as well.

The Altes Museum, also known as the Old Museum, is located in Berlin, Germany.

The construction of the Altes Museum began in 1825 and ended in 1828; however, the museum was opened to public only in 1930. Designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, it is based on the design of the Greek Stoa, Athens. The building is surrounded by a palace with a large garden, a river and a cathedral. The building of the museum houses two courtyards, a drum and a rotunda. There are statues, vases, antiques and sculptures decorating the interior of the museum. The museum is also the oldest as well as the largest public building in Berlin. All these reasons together account for making the Altes Museum a must see.

The museum has a collection of artworks from Greek and Roman eras. The Bust of Queen Nefertiti is one of the greatest attractions at the museum.
