Each year prior to Christmas, the historic city center of Aachen transforms into a festive of color and lights. One can know that he is near Christmas markets, when he can smell the cinnamon smell of warm Gluhwein wine and roasted almonds at the square and streets in Berlin. This is the time when one can pick up traditional handcrafted toys and jewelry near to the opera house on the Unter den Linden Boulevard.
