Tiergarten is a large park which is located at the center of Berlin. It is also a locality within the Mitte borough. The park was designed in 1830 by landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenne. After 1944, this park was deforested as it served as a source of firewood for the city. This park houses many governmental and parliamentary institutions.
