Gerhard Marcks Haus offers programs which has continuous changing exhibitions with courses and activities. A visit to this monument is a mandatory program for any tourist while visiting Bremen City as it is lucky to visit the front legs of the donkey exhibit to zufassen. This is a historic site to see. The entrance to his house has Gerhard Marcks bronze sculpture built in 1953 with town musicians. This portrays the donkey, dog, cat rooster of the fairy tale of Grimm Brothers.
