The Zoo was established in the year 1848 by Carl Hagenbeck. It has a good collection of animals who are not kept in cages. There are Panorama exhibits of many species of animals and mammals like seals, walruses, reindeer, polar bears and others. This thing was rebuilt after the World War II as it was destroyed during the World War II. Tierpark Hagenbeck is still running well and is run by the Hagenbeck family after his death.
