Goethe House is the house of the legendary writer Johann Wolfgang von Goether who was born here in 1749 and who had lived here in his early years. This house has been restored with many of original belongings of Goether family. This historic house is situated to the south of the Rossmarkt in Frankfurt in Germany. Goethe lived here until 1765. Presently a museum, the interior of the house has been restored to its original state. Connected to the museum, is the Haus des Deutschen Buchhandels, the headquarters of the central organization of booksellers and publishers. Some of the displays at the museum include clocks, timepieces and botanic displays. There are also guided tours of the museum which are offered to the visitors. During this, the visitors can explore extensive library, the recreated study and the puppet theater at the museum. This 17th century house has even portraits of Goethe and his family.
