The collection at the Museums Hesse Kassel ranges from the Bronze Age and includes the golden age of Greece and Athens to the Roman Empire. On the ground floor of castle Wilhelmshohe, there are almost 500 objects inclusive of 50 sculptures. These throw light on the development of several ancient cultures. There are artifacts from Roman, Etruscan, Greek, Minoan-Mycenaean and Egyptian times.
