Expo 2000 is a place to visit on the outskirts of the city in Hanover as it hosts countless performances and exhibitions.
The Euro is the local currency. To avail of cheap meals one can visit the Turkish restaurants close to the Steintor. The weather is pleasant in Hanover from May to October and the Hanover Jazz festival is held here where one can attend multiple open air parties and there are wine festivals in the winter.
Credit cards are not accepted in most of the places and be careful while ordering water as it is not free and it must be paid for along with food.
Requesting tap water is considered rude and cheap. In beer gardens and vineyard restaurants it is customary to be seated with strangers at long tables.
