Lower Saxony locally known as Niedersachsen is the second largest federal state of Germany. This place is worth visiting for its lakes, mountains, windmills, rivers and waterfalls other than the island of Borkum and the Harz Mountain peak.  Other places of interest include the most extensive mixed woodlands in Europe, countless moors and eight large cities with infinite attractions. The East Frisian Island is also a must visit.

Lower Saxony experiences mild weather, and can vary too with unpredictable rain in a day.  The summers are usually hot. The driest months are January to March. So, the best time to visit Lower Saxony is spring.  The beer gardens are open untill the month of October, another perfect time to visit this place and the autumn, being warm is also the worth time to see the blue skies and enjoy any of the outdoor activities.
