Schloss Schwerin is a castle situated in the city of Schwerin, the capital city of the Bundesland of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is said that for centuries, from 14th century to 1918, this beautiful castle had been the residence of the dukes and the grand dukes of Mecklenburg and later on Mecklenburg-Schwerin. This historic building, at present, serves as the seat of the State Parliament. The Castle building has a bit of 17th and 10th century modernization to it.
