The Gothic Town Hall built in 13th century is situated in Stralsund, Germany. Also known as Rathaus in German, this historic site is famous for its distinctive arcades. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Town Hall is an amazing example of the secular use of the brick in Gothic architectural style. This landmark has been a great influence on other town halls situated in Baltic Sea region. Built precisely between the 13th and the 14th century has presently been refinished with the dry construction method. The Town Hall is crowed by a pediment with openwork gables based on Lubeck. The ground floor arcades of this hall open onto a covered market.
