Rathaus Aachen
Rathaus Aachen is the town hall which was built in 1350 on the original location of the Charlemagne’s palace. The Granus Tower lies on the east of the hall and it has a richly decorated façade which faces the marketplace. This façade has statues of fifty German rulers as thirty one out of these were crowned in the city of Aachen. The 2nd floor has the Imperial Hall where these coronation banquets took place.
