The first museum which was founded in Rhur valley was the Museum of Art and Cultural History in 1883. The archeological and local history, art and craft design applied and graphic are being displayed in the monument like building which is decorated in Art Deco Style. The museum is a must visit due to its unique architecture and describes the local culture and history.
