Münster: Attractions and more...
The Prinzipalt Market, the market square of the old medieval town, is flanked by the town hall and St. Lambert’s Church. In the Middle Ages, the corpses of three Anabaptists were put in cages that were displayed on the tower of this church. The Cathedral of Saint Paul is well known for its ornate astronomical clock.
Zwinger, a fortress which served as a prison, and Schloss, the royal residence of the ruling archbishops, warrant a visit for their beautiful architecture. Various museums like the Munster City Museum, showcasing the history of the city, and the Pablo Picasso Museum of Graphic Art, the only one of its kind in the world, can be found in the old town.
