The Rhineland Museum, locally named as Rheinisches Landesmuseum is located towards the south of the Trier palace and beyond a line of medieval town walls which bound the palace gardens. It is one of the greatest collections of Roman remains to be found anywhere. It displays a collection of prehistoric, Roman, Early Christian, Frankish and medieval times’ antiquities and art works.
