The Schloss is located on the Burgberg in Wernigerode is an old castle which has been converted in a Museum now. The current castle was built in 19th century and is a reproduction of the castle of the Counts of Wernigerode which was built in 12th century. The museum covers the region’s history and the different rooms have been designated to different periods.
