The place is located the valley of Harz Mountain and is divided in two parts namely the Baumannshöhle which were discovered in 1536 and the Hermannshöhle discovered in 1866. These are the natural caves which consist of some of the amazing formation of the stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are an evidence of Neolithic age and consist of remains of pottery and stone tools.
