Christian-Albrechts-Universität or the University of Kiel is situated in Kiel city in Germany. Founded in 1665 as the Academia Holsatorum Chiloniensis by Christian Albert, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp, it has 23,000 students presently. This university is considered as the oldest, largest and also the most prestigious university in Schleswig-Holstein State.
