This is a plain Baroque building constructed in 1709 where Goethe lived till 1832. In the upper floor of the house lies the Goethe National Museum which displays a wide variety of information about the life and work of Goethe. His work room and library lie adjacent to each other and behind the house is a small garden. There are over 5400 volumes of books in the library here.
