Crete enthrals visitors with its attractive scenery, beautiful monuments, vibrant festivals and various other sites of interest such as the Knossos and the Gortys.
The archaeological site of Hania is delightful for its elegant architecture, beautiful mosques and mansions as well as a picturesque ambience. The place also houses an archaeological museum and a naval museum which are worth visiting.
Another interesting place is the Heraklion Archaeological Museum which houses important relics excavated from across the city, including the statue of the snake goddess, Minoan seals and ethnic ornaments from the Greek and Roman periods.
