Sifnos: Attractions and more...
An excellent testimonial to the history of Sifnos is the Museum of Folklore and Popular Art which incorporates the traditional and cultural heritage of the region. The rich collection housed here consists of costumes, ornaments, potteries, embroideries and swords.
The Church of Panagia Angeloktisti is one of the most beautiful churches of Sifnos. It is a three-aisled church with a pointed dome and the interiors are done with pebbled mosaics. Visitors will also get to see various beautiful paintings adorning the walls of the church.
Also, the region has some wonderful beaches famous for their untouched beauty and serene nature. Visitors will find different varieties of beaches like sandy, pebble and rocky beaches and some spectacular views from some of the beaches.
The Archaeological Museum is also another interesting place which contains several artefacts and relics relating to the ancient civilizations once settled on the island.
