Arahova is a stunning and picturesque town located in the cliffs of Mount Parnassos, Greece. With about 4,000 inhabitants, the name means ‘a place planted with walnut trees’. Arahova is close to the ancient towns of Delphi and Athens, which makes it a favoured tourist destination.
Summers range from being mild to hot and winters are moderate. They come with silver snowfall, boosting tourism during the season. Rainfall is adequate. Overall, Arahova is known to have a healthy climate.
The history of the town dates back to the ancient times, but its origin is still debatable. Arahova is famous for its ‘flokati’ rug and hand-woven fabrics. Agriculture and tourism are the other dominant industries.
