The Acropolis of Athens or rather known as the Citadel of Athans is popularly known as Acropolis. In 2007, it was formally proclaimed on the European Cultural Heritage list of monuments as the pre-eminent monument. This is a flat topped rock rising 490 feet high above the sea level in Athens and has a surface area of 3 hectares. This is a historical site which one shouldn’t miss to visit.
