The Benaki Museum was established in 1930 by Antonis Benakis in memory of his father, Emmanuel Benakis. Housed in the Benakis family mansion, the museum houses Greek work art collection from the prehistoric to the modern times. There are also an extensive collection of Asian art, periodic exhibitions and a conservation workshop. The museum includes permanent as well as temporary exhibitions, worth visiting.
