Tourist Guide Galaxidi
Galaxidi is a town in the prefecture of Phokida in Central Greece. It has a small harbour that connects it to the Crisaean Gulf.
Much of the land of Galaxidi is rocky, bushy and covered with mountains. It has pine forests located in the south-east on a rocky shoreline.
The climate is typically Mediterranean with slight rainfall. The temperatures vary between 18°C and 24°C in summers and 2°C to 15°C in winters.
Galaxidi has a population of about 1,400 where most of the population is occupied in merchant marine, tourism and sea farming. The harbour is now used by small fishing boats and yachts. Over the last few decades, tourism has increased in Galaxidi.
