Hersonissos can be described as one of the towns located in Crete’s northern part, along Mediterranean.
Hersonissos lies at an approximate distance of 25 Km on the eastern side of Heraklion. Also, it lies at the same distance on the western side of Agios Nikolaos. What people call Hersonissos is, in actual sense, a harbor and a peninsula.
Hersonissos is basically oriented towards industry relating to tourism. Moreover, it’s popular amongst German, British, and Dutch nationals. Towards its end, one would find huge hotels. Star Beach followed by bars, slides, pools, bungie jump, games, go-karts, etc. This would resemble a day-time club. Kids also have a lot in store for themselves.
Hersonissos is a great place for those who enjoy resting and sunbathing on holidays. This can be attributed to the fact that it contains gorgeous beaches, apart from excursions to various other places on ‘Crete’
