Kastelorizo is the easternmost island in the Aegean Sea, Greece. It is a tiny but beautiful island that is part of Dodecanese Islands.
The terrain of the island is mountainous with high and rough coasts. It has a mild Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny summers and moderate winters. The temperature ranges from 11.5°C to 13.5°C in winters, even during the coolest months of the year.
Kastelorizo has a small population of approximately 300, with most of the inhabitants living around the port of the city. The sole township on the island comprises of two quarters, namely Pigadia (at the port) and Chorafia (around the church of Saints Constantine and Helena).
