Tourist Guide Kythira
Kythira is an island which is part of the Ionian Islands group in Greece. It is a remote island located on the foot of the Peloponnese, between the Ionian and Aegean Sea. Kapsali is the chief harbour of the island.
Kythira has a very humid spring time, hot summer, short and mild winter and a hot autumn. The best time for touring the island is spring or autumn when the weather is almost perfect. The temperature rarely crosses 30°C in summers or falls below 8°C in winters.
With an approximate population of 3,400, most of the inhabitants of Kythira are involved in tourism. Kythira is located on a highly sensitive part which makes it prone to frequent earthquakes.
