Parikia Town is even called as the Paros town or Hora and is the capital of the Island. This town has over 3,000 inhabitants and is also a commercial as well as cultural center of Paros. Parikia is also the main port with most of the connections to other islands and it welcomes lots of visitors each summer. Some of the attractions at Parikia Town are the old traditional Cycladic settlement, the Kastro, or the castle and also the Ancient Acropolis temple.
