Tourist Guide Porto Kagio
Porto Kagio is a landscape town located in Mani, Greece. This small port town is also the starting point to the scenic region of Cape Tenaro. The place is home to around 300 permanent residents. Blessed with stunning natural settings, the town moves at a slow pace and the people are welcoming.
The climate of this region is Mediterranean in nature, which is characterised by warm summers and moderate winters; the region experiences dry, sunny days for a major part of the year. Winters are wet with snowfall being rare. Spring, which arrives with blooming flowers, is the best time to visit.
Earlier ruled by various dynasties, Porto Kagio has been the site of various battles of World War II. However, in today’s times, Porto Kagio is a small and serene region, and the main occupation is fishing.
