The Palace of the Grand Masters is situated in Rhodes and was built in the 14th century by the Knights of Rhodes. Occupied from 1309 to 1522 by the Knights, the island was eventually captured by the Ottoman Empire, which used the Palace as a fortress.
Presently, the place is a museum which is worth visiting to see its beautiful architectural and stylish art works like the ballroom, statues, music room and many other sights. There are also fine pieces of furniture, carpets, polychrome and oriental vases worth looking at.
