Tourist Guide Serifos
Serifos, located in the Cyclades region, is an attractive island in Greece with around 1,400 inhabitants. Famous for its sandy beaches, elegant villages and stunning landscapes, Serifos is close to Athens, which makes it a preferred holiday destination.
Serifos experiences cold winters, infrequent rainfall and dry summers. Spring and fall are the best seasons to visit as the weather is cool, but sunny. Autumn is relatively warm here with Meltemi winds creating the ideal conditions for wind surfing.
Rich in history, Serifos was a major mining site in the twentieth century. There are many theories regarding the region’s history, but none that are credible. Over the years, the population has decreased, and the people are now engaged in agriculture, tourism and fishing.
