Ayia Katerini is another of the city’s fine 14th century churches. It was built with a central dome which is flanked by four cupolas and is totally surrounded by new apartment buildings and also old houses. There are also stone and brick work which are a reminder of the finest artistic period of the city. Once a visitor goes inside this historic building, he can get to see some of the brilliant wall paintings which show the healing of the blind.
