Thessaloniki experiences Mediterranean Climate as it is situated along the northerly part of the Thermaic Gulf. Due to this, the city has mild winters and sunny summers. The city has rainfall which is slight and varies quite a bit throughout the year. The month of November and December gets slightly showers and there are short summer thunderstorms which are not frequent. Tourists chose the climate which is favorable and mostly come in late spring, early summer or at the beginning of fall.
