Especially in summer, on a open-air stage, there are funny performances by summer theatrical companies, in June and July every year.

But in winter there is a fantastic atmosphere, so it’s great fun to go there any time of the year. There is the Debrecen Literary Museums, which owns the whole literary of the city.
Debrecen is full of galleries like Kortárs Gallery, Mű-Terem Gallery, Kiss Gallery.
Debrecen offers many opportunities, too: there are lakes for fishing, horseback riding and forests to hunt.
Dery Museum is one of the most famous museums; it’s inside a neo-baroque building, realized by Aladár Münnich and Dénes Györgyi in 1930. In the pallag forests you can choose to have equestrian courses of the old state farm, so it’s not to be missed.
