The PESCA Flea Market is the one that very few tourists are aware of, as it is overshadowed by the larger and more conspicuous Ecseri Flea Market. Located by the open-air stage at Petfi Csarnok, this smaller and less frequented market tends to fly under the radar.
It is in the middle of Városliget (City Park), and it has a wide variety of things to offer, treasures and junk alike. At PESCA Flea Market, you can unearth vintage bric-a-brac, antique jewelry, books, clothing, electronic equipment, and interesting clues about Hungary’s socialist past. If you go to this market, you will probably find the bargain you are looking for, as the vendors are likely to haggle with you. Rare things you may come across here, that are difficult to find elsewhere, are Russian dolls, medals, and anything bearing Hungary’s former Socialist insignia.
