Kiraly baths are known as one of the most important Turkish monuments of Budapest. Kiraly means the King and in 18th century, it came into the possession of the Konig family, due to which it got its present name, the Kiraly. The Kiraly is known to be one of the few Budapest baths which do not have its own source of water.  Built by the Turks in 1565 as a bath house amidst the city walls in case of a siege, Kiraly gets water from the area around the Lukacs bath through a pine pipeline. One can also check Kiraly furdo, which has a steamy sauna, named as the hammam. Kiraly furdo is one of the smaller Budapest baths.
