St. Stephen Basilica of Budapest was built in neo-renaissance and classicist style. This historic building is also one of the most beautiful and the most significant spiritual and tourist sights of Hungary. This basilica is an ecclesiastic basilica and named in honor of Stephen, the first king of Hungary, whose mummified fist is still housed in the reliquary. It is also Hungarian Catholicism’s holiest relic.
