Hungary became a member of the European Union in 2004, and since it has showed consistent economic growth. Wheat, corn, sunflower seeds are some of its important agricultural products while mining, textiles, food processing are a few of its major industries.
The average daily expense for a tourist is anywhere between 5000 HUF and 8000 HUF; a lunch costs around 1000 HUF while living in hostels is around 4000 HUF. Bus and train are the most convenient way to see the country.
