Keflavík International Airport is also known by the name, Reykjavik-Keflavik Airport. This is the largest airport situated in Iceland and also the main hub for international transportation. It was actually built by the United States military during the World War II. It has one terminal, named Leifur Eiriksson Air Terminal which opened in 1987. This airport is 10,000 foot long and 200 foot wide runways which is enough to support NASA’s Space Shuttle along with the Antonov An-225.
