This is a church with a modern architecture which was completed in the year 1974 after thirty years of construction. It has a stark, light filled interior and its architecture resembles the basaltic lava. It is the highest and most imposing structure in Reykjavik and one can view the entire city from its tower. The church is open to all from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
