One of the most important and oldest urban structures in Waterford is Reginald’s Tower, named after the city’s founder Regnall. The Waterford Museum of Treasures on Merchant’s Quay has a huge collection of memorabilia on the city’s 1,000-year-old history.

Unique to the city’s culinary delight is the blaa, a bun-like piece of bread, believed to have been introduced by Huguenot refugees in the late 1600s. The Brasserie Orange and La Palma restaurants are recommended for their delectable treats.
