Cobh: Attractions and more...
Housed in Cobh's restored 19th century Railway Station is the Cobh Heritage Centre. This imaginative multi-media exhibition tells the story of Cobh's origins, it's role in Irish emigration from Cobh from the time famine in the 1840s, and the period of the famous liners.

The latter includes an exhibit on The Titanic – Cobh was the last port visited by the doomed ship before she set sail across the Atlantic.

Another legacy of ill-fated marine history is a memorial on the quayside to the victims of The Lusitania, which was sunk off the coast by a German submarine in 1915.

At the top of the hill on which the town is built is the impressive St. Coleman's Cathedral with its famous carillon of 47 bells.

From Cobh you can easily reach the many places of interest in Cork, including the site of the world-famous Blarney Stone.
