Tourist Guide Connemara

Situated to the West of Ireland, Connemara is known to be one of the most scenic regions in Ireland, having craggy mountain peaks, laced network of lakes and expansive sandy beaches. The name, Connemara, is given to the west side of County Galway that lies between the Atlantic and Lough Corrib. Originally known as Conmaicnemara or ‘the tribe of Cormac by the sea’, Connemara is worth exploring place for its unique landscape, ancient Irish traditions and customs that are still preserved and for a number of events like Spring Connemara Pony Fest, Connemarathon and many other events. The Islands of Omey and Inishbofin are also worth exploring.
