The Cork Butter Museum is a unique institution and is situated in the historic Shandon area of the city of Cork. The museum explains to the visitor through a number of displays and describes the internationally significant Butter Exchange in the 19th century of Cork and also the traditional craft of home butter making process. There is also a gallery which is dedicated to the culture of cattle and dairy making in Early Ireland.
